Fonna has a long tradition of providing facilities for alpine teams and freestyle users. This year, the snowboard park will be scaled down in favor of continued focus on skicross/snowboardcross and alpine snowboarding.
Training groups will find Northern Europe's best training conditions during the summer season in Fonna. Good conditions for SL-GS- SuperG -Downhill, easy salting of the trails, good logistics, many accommodation options and idyllic Jondal are just some of the arguments for making the trip to Fonna.

Alpine teams are one of Fonna's most important customers. That's why we have an extra focus on each team's needs with customized trails, salting and general facilitation.
We can offer Europe's best training conditions during the summer season with good conditions for SL, GS, SG and DH trails. Fonna was FIS homologated for SL, GS and SG in 2017. See the report from the national alpine team's WC / EC gathering at Fonna in 2016 here.
In addition to the standard selection in the park, we customize the park/elements by appointment. Every year we host several camps, private teams, university teams and not least many film companies looking for the legendary Fonna sunset.

The cross-country skiing trail is located on Folgefonna where the terrain behind the top station of the lift is smooth and perfect for cross-country skiing. The length of the trail varies from 2km to 5km depending on snow conditions. With experienced traction machine operators, Fonna produces world-class cross-country trails for both classic and skating. We have our own equipment for optimal tracks and we supply basic salting with a hydraulic salt spreader. In addition to top cross-country skiing trails, we have perhaps Norway's prettiest views - to the Hardangerfjord, the Rosendal Alps, South Fonna and the North Sea.
