Experience cross-country trails for both classic and world-class skating at Fonna!
The cross-country ski trail is located on Folgefonna, where the terrain that follows behind the top station on the lift is even and perfect for cross-country skiing activity. The length of the trail varies from 2km to 5km depending on snow conditions. With experienced treadmill operators, Fonna produces cross-country trails for both classic and world-class skating. We have our own equipment for optimal tracks and we supply basic salting with a hydraulic salt spreader. In addition to top cross-country trails, we have perhaps Norway's most beautiful views - to the Hardangerfjord, the Rosendal Alps, the South Fonna and the North Sea.
The trail is prepped and salted in June and July when the weather allows and prepares otherwise to order - contact us for more info. Cross-country ski passes cost NOK 250 per day and include access to a groomed and salted trail as well as transport with the ski lift.
